As a bilingual English/Spanish Clinical Adult Medical Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating vital healthcare services at our Deer Park location. Located at 3430 Center St. Deer Park, TX 77536, you'll be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to delivering superior patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Interview patients to obtain crucial medical information and accurately measure vital signs, height, and weight for precise recording in medical records.
- Collect and manage biological specimens such as blood and tissue; ensure accurate logging and preparation for testing.
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments by providing necessary instruments, materials, and support for procedures like injections and suture removal.
- Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring a hygienic environment.
- Clean, sterilize medical instruments, and responsibly dispose of contaminated supplies to uphold safety standards.
- Conduct phone consultations with clients, offering guidance on test results and addressing health concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or possession of a Medical Assistant certificate is essential.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required to ensure readiness for patient care.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is necessary for effective communication in our diverse community.
